Student grants_ORO STRESS 2026, Novi Sad, Serbia
ISA is The international association promoting research and developing sunflower production. The aim of the Association is to improve international cooperation on the agronomic, breeding, technical and nutritional levels, and to ensure close links between research and workers.
To do so, ISA regularly helps students/young researchers to attend ISA events and meet the Sunflower community. Therefore, ISA offered several grants to enable students to attend the ORO-STRESS 2026 symposium held in Novi-Sad, Serbia in June 2026.
From Resistance to Resilience: Enhancing Sunflower Performance Under Biotic and Abiotic Stresses.
New Research Topic in Frontiers in Plant Science dedicated to advancing sunflower resilience under the increasing challenges of climate change, diseases, parasites, pests, and environmental stresses.
The Research Topic is associated with the 6th International Symposium on Broomrape in Sunflower and the 1st Meeting on Sunflower Biotic and Abiotic Stress (Novi Sad, Serbia, 15–18 June 2026).

Zvonimir Sakač, M.Sc., researcher at the Sunflower Department, Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops, Novi Sad, died at the age of 67 after a short illness.
